1. So Dave Warner continues his outstanding form - all the while playing the villain. He has really put his money where his mouth is in Capetown. His poise at the crease is something else. Head still and blazing blade. Seven Test tons and plenty to come. He really takes the game away from the opposition.
Clarke has risen to last week's challenge and finally produced. Why the pull shot isn't used more frequently by him is beyond me, but Morkel around the wicket is one of the most awesome assignments in world cricket. Steve Smith is something outstanding too. First innings runs are his specialty, making him a permanent fixture in the team for some time now.
And then there was Watson. As the calamitous Shaun Marsh follows the footsteps of GraHEEEEEEEEEEme Wood, a fellow West Australian, and becomes our latest 'duck or a hundred' batsman...Watson gets another chance. What price a duck? Surely not.
2. Is it just me or is Siddle less aggressive since he gave up meat and started eating tree fulls of bananas? Hence the axe.
Great to see the confidence of Warney all over that side. As bowling coach, he has become media spokesman as well. God help those boys if they win the series. He will have them on a boat like the Wolf of Wall Street, before they know it.
3. Is it true that Richie Richardson, Curtly Ambrose and Andy Roberts were knighted the other day? They have been "sir" since they started playing cricket! Ambrose looked like he had a tarantula glued to his head.
4. Is there a more boring story than ASADA - Danks - The Gazelle? Maybe a Braith Anasta or Jarryd Hayne shot with the family dog or the wife on the back lawn?
5. Chelsea. Mourinhou may well win the EPL thing. He is a fierce sledger, who like Warner, seems to triumph despite all the pressure and commentary.
Unlike Allan Pardew who heat butts opposition players. That was something extraordinary.
6. Waratahs. How good does Folau look? He is finding scoring tries in rugby very easy - but would look better in an Eels jersey. Hopefully his brother is as good.
7. Good to see GWS win a pre season game. That should do them until June for wins.
8. Noticed Federer won in Dubai on the weekend. He is a true legend.
6. How about Melbourne Heart? They are loving it!
