1. Wallabies. Gutsy win against the tide and the odds. Probably did more than enough to lose. Quade Cooper surely has to be dropped. He was a disgrace. His kicking, his passing, his brain snaps. he would have been a great signing for Pacificmatta.
He was worse than our lineout. In fact if word came out he had been on the drink or the nest the night before, we'd all believe it.
Our defence was strong however - and a lot was needed. Got lucky with a couple of forward passes. Robbie Deans was looking a dead man walking with ten to go until the end. O'Connor was strong. Beale is needed otherwise we are lacking.
Truly great to see Ireland and England fold. France and Wales will be close. NZ v us...!!
2. Des Hasler. What a remarkable stuff up from Manly. The Board are shortlived. I saw Melinda Gainsford Taylor's (a Board member) defence of the sacking of Zorba on the Backpage a few weeks ago and she was weak. Zorba will become the CEO soon once the next elections pass and the Manly empire will be restored. Hasler should be sacked immediately, but they will not want to pay him out. Jim Dymock is like the spare beer that won't fit in the esky - still valuable but you can do without it.
3. Socceroos. Holger Osiecek has strengthened their patterns since taking over. Test v Oman who will be alright. Thank goodness the whole bloody Kewell farce is over for another week.
4. Dave Warner. He is a superstar. He is perhaps the most exciting cricketer in the world outside of Chris Gayle. Two 20/20 centuries in consecutive games is something special. To hit sixes switch hitting is awesome. He could be one of the richest cricketers ever to play the game soon. When he pairs up with Chris Gayle for the Sydney Thunder (green team) this Christmas/ summer, it could pack the joint.
5. Garth Tander. The most articulate and possibly the most hated man in motor sport. A winner once again. A high achiever by all reports and a record to match.
6. Vettel. Too good. Deserved World Champion. Where is Mark Webber? Fourth and a long way behind. Hopefully he may give Vettel some credit this year. A young back to back winner!
7. Black Caviar. Hopefully it won't be shipped off like So You Think and die like Phar Lap - or go bad. A legend and an extraordinary achiever. Bring on the Spring carnival.
