Wrap - Boo Hoo

1. It is official. Pakistan are off the punt. They seem different when Afridi is there. He is not on the payroll. Ponting does not walk again. He has lost the plot and every time he carries on like a goose, the team fails. His tantrum with Steve Smith (v Canada) was remarkable. The TV set damage, the lot. Smith seems a bit dumb. Ponting called him off the catch, but as skipper he needs to do better. He should go soon.

2. Again another Cameron White failure while Dave Hussey works on his latest cookbook recipes. The selections are terrible. There are a number of blokes who have nothing to do. Remember Callum Ferguson, John Hastings, Tim Paine, Dave Hussey. Are any worth a go?

3. NRL. Parra - terrible. Souths - worse! Cowboys...awful. Early days, but Storm looking strong again. Bellamy has done a great job to strengthen his squad. Inglis not missed! He has the best 1, 7 and 9 in the game. They are also rarely injured.

4. AFL. Where is that comp? Surely they do not need a week off after the famous NAB Cup!

5. Waratahs. Does it get any lower? Maybe only if you support the Rebels. They have massive problems and underline the fact that Rugby is not big enough a sport to sustain five Australian teams. A disgrace really with the number of juniors, school teams and club teams. Maybe the Tahs fans should boo that!

6. Shield Final. Pat Cummins - 17 years old and the best bowler in the game. Remarkable. He will probably be in the Australian team soon - before he does his back in. Old Shizenhaus got one to move yesterday. That is officially two deliveries in a summer. Hughes hitting form at the right time. Katich is the worst runner between the wickets outside of Watson. Scott Coyte is an imposter too. He bowls shorter than a Labor backbencher's future.

7. Tennis. Federer on the wane. Djokovic gets him again.

8. Chelsea need a win v Man City to stay in touch. The other clubs are closing the gap on the big name teams this season of EPL. A better comp all round. A tough premiership to win.
