Wrap - Retreads and Revisiting Damaged Goods

1. Thank God the altitude excuse has been put to bed by the Wallabies. It does funny stuff to our blood. We score heaps early and then go to sleep. Apparently Brookvale Oval is similar. Beale showed some steel. He needs to be in every team. When he plays we actually look good. If Quade Cooper goes to Parramatta, Parramatta Jesus will walk on water.

2. Bulldogs land on 22 points - 2 behind Parramatta. Disgrace. For Parramatta they lacked go forward. Their defence was third best in the league. Just could not score points. What do you do about it? Offload backs and get more forwards is the brainstrusts reaction. Incredible.

Look for Tahu to actually score a try or two in 2011. His contract is up next year and he has a rich history of producing when money is at question. Reddy? Won't win a comp for you. Burt - needs to retire. What about Carl Webb and Reni Matieu (brother plays tennis for France - Paul-Henri) signings? Let's look for every retread in town and sign them and let blokes go who can play. Lean times.

3. 30 points for an NRL semi birth - 15 wins out of 24 games. Seems easy enough. This semi final series looms as one of those years no one will remember with so many out of town teams (Warriors, Titans, Raiders). Dragons to win for mine.

4. Cricket. Pakistan breed them with lies on their birth certificate and it does not get any better from there. 18 year old fast bowlers who are actually in their mid 20's. The thought of their High Commissioner saying it is a lie tells you everything. It is rotten to the core and as I have often said, a TWO BOB show. Maybe a TWO MILLION dollar show now.

5. AFL. Cracking game Swans v Carlton. Also Geelong are far from finished. How come Western Bulldogs continue to disappoint? They are serial semi disappointers. Freo look OK too. Collingwood the favourites.

6. Tennis. Sam Stosur looking better but she is loose (don't tell too many people). Wild backhands. Won't last.

7. Have a better week than Ryan Tandy. Apparently he backed himself for first try scorer today v Manly as well. Maybe they will look into that one as well.
